Some social psychologists have tried to define love using psychometric techniques. ![]() However, the application of this approach has been unsuccessful in all forms of love ( Berscheid, 2010). ![]() Indeed, it has been described as a propensity to think, feel, and behave positively toward another ( Hendrick and Hendrick, 1986). Scholars across an array of disciplines have tried to define the meaning and nature of love with some success but questions remain. ![]()
